The objectives of EADTU are to: promote higher level distance education in Europe; support bi-lateral contacts between academic staff of the participating universities; support co-operation in the field of research, course development,course and credit transfer; develop new methods and techniques for higher distance education including new technologies and media; organise common projects in identified fields in co-operation with European authorities and industry; and to promote access to higher level education opportunities in Europe.- A "Navigation Menu" of the homepage offers links to fields of cooperation, a developed programme of activities and common projects.
