"The theme of the sixth annual symposium is “Inclusion Not Exclusion: Comparative Educational Perspectives at the Heart of Sustainable Development.” The theme draws on concerns about the place of education in today’s society and specifically reflects on the trends and developments within the Gulf region. The symposium will examine the role of education in national and international endeavors for social progress and focus on the sustainability of these education initiatives. By bringing together academics, policymakers, and educators to compare educational policies and practices across the Gulf, the symposium aims to explore the growing pressure for wider inclusion in education, which has become central to policy and practice within the region."
