The Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Conflict and Violence conducts theoretical and empirical analyses on the different forms, dimensions, and causes of conflict and violence. Interdisciplinary approaches throw light on various aspects of ethnic, religious, and cultural conflicts and violence. The same applies to specific political manifestations such as right-wing extremism and the attitudes on which it is based. The research program also covers other forms of violence, such as those exercised by adolescents.
