This report contains an overview of the findings of the first phase of the Classroom and School Practice project focussing upon the secondary level of educational provision. ... This report presents the information collected during this first study phase of the project: the literature review. Review reports were received from 12 countries and they are all presented in this document. Of course these reports display considerable variation: some countries have an enormous amount of research information in the field, whilst in other countries the research tradition is less rich. As this study does not in any way involve comparing countries in terms of the state of the art of research into effective practice in inclusive settings, this variation is of no importance. The focus here is to identify and present the current body of knowledge on the issue in a way that is independent of any specific country. (DIPF/Orig.).
