Das amerkanische Programm wurde gemeinsam von der kalifornischen Fakultät für Bildung und Erziehung und WestED, einer Non-Profit Forschungs-, Entwicklungs- und Serviceagentur mit Bezug auf den Bildungsbereich entwickelt. Die Website bietet umfangreiche Information (auf englisch) über die Ziele des Programms, sowie unter -`Library-` Publikationen, Fachartikel, Präsentation, Videos u.a.. Die Rubrik -`In Practice-`stellt konkrete Projekte in amerikanischen Einrichtungen sowie weitere Programme und Initiativen vor.

The Program for Infant/Toddler Caregivers is developed collaboratively by the California Department of Education and WestEd. Its three pronged mission is to: 1) increase the availability and quality of child care for all children under age three; 2) disseminate information that increases the practice of responsive, respectful and relationship based infant toddler care; and 3) influence national, regional and local policies and practices so that the needs and interests of individual infants, toddlers, and their families are the foundation for all curriculum development and program activity.
