Lehrer im Spannungsfeld zwischen nationalen und supranationalen Werten - Ergebnisse einer empirischen Untersuchung in Leipzig, Katowice und Liberec - kostenloses Unterrichtsmaterial online bei Elixier
Der Artikel analysiert die Rollen von polnischen, deutschen und tschechischen Lehrern im Prozess der europäischen kulturellen Integration, wobei die Frage der Beziehung zwischen nationalen und supranationalen Werten von ausschlaggebender Bedeutung ist. Inwieweit folgen die Lehrer einem allgemeinen europäischen Muster in ihrem Unterricht für Europa und inwiefern sind individuelle und nationale Einflussfaktoren von Bedeutung? Die Antwort auf diese Frage basiert auf einer vergleichenden Studie, die sich auf gelenkte Gespräche mit insgesamt 90 Lehrern aus Liberec (Tschechische Republik), Leipzig und Katowice (Polen) konzentriert. Ergebnisse zeigten, dass die Bedeutung von Europa wie auch die Existenz einer Europa-orientierten Erziehung stark von nationalen Faktoren beeinflusst ist und dass ein Nationen-bezogener Unterricht eine Vorbedingung für die Entwicklung einer Europa-bezogenen Erziehung zu sein scheint.

The article proposes an analysis of the role of Polish, German and Czech teachers in the process of European cultural integration, whereby the question of the relationship between national and supranational values is of decisive importance. To what extent do the teachers follow a common European pattern in their `Teaching for Europe`, and to what extent are individual and national influential factors of any relevance? The answer to this question is based upon a comparative study which focussed on guided conversations with a total of ninety teachers from Liberec (Czech Republic), Leipzig (Germany) and Katowice (Poland). Results showed that the significance of Europe as well as the actual existence of a Europe-oriented education are both highly influenced by national factors and that a Nation-related teaching seems to be a prerequisite for the development of a Europe-related education.
