The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) has compiled this database of both quantitative and qualitative information related to voting in countries around the world (Sweden 2016-21).

This lesson plan is designed to introduce Hannah-Jones’ essay, and The 1619 Project of the New York Times, through discussion questions and guided reading (Pulitzer Center 2020).
