Switzerland; international
The FICE (Fédération Internationale des Communautés Educatives) was founded in 1948 with the support of the UNESCO. It is an international organisation for the concerns of educational assistance. As non-governmental organisation, it has counseling status at the UNESCO, the European Council, UNICEF and ECOSOC. FICE is politically and religiously neutral and refuses every discrimination based on origin, colour, sex, language or religion. In its work, FICE orients itself on the international convention of the U.S. for the rights of the child. Its focus lays on families in problematic situations and especially on children, which can not live with ther parents or which were separated from their network of relations by exceptional life situations such as war and natural disasters and which need therefore special protection and care.
