The EARLI SIG #17 ``Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches to Learning and Instruction`` invites you to participate in the forthcoming SIG #17 meeting between the biennal EARLI conferences. The workshop will be held together with the Center for Qualitative Psychology (CQP, http://www.qualitative-psychologie.de) to deepen our joint understanding of qualitative and quantitative methods. This will happen in Riga (Lettland), October 20-22, 2006. Invited are researchers from psychology and educational science who conduct qualitative and quantitative research, as well as those researchers who contribute from the perspective of various disciplines to the enhancement of EARLI topics with special consideration on methods. Faculty and advanced (doctoral) students from all areas of research on Learning and Instruction will have the opportunity to reflect their own research work together with experts. The program includes presentations and work groups about themes linked to learning and instruction that are developed within various international contexts. Proposals will be peer reviewed.
