The "Individuals with Disabilities Education Act" (IDEA) is a U.S. American federal statute that regulates the (right to) education of people (children) with disabilities in the United States. The first version of this statute was adopted in 1975 under the title "Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EAHCA)". The statute has been amended several times since then. The version linked here is the amended version of 2004, including all four parts of the Act, parts A, B, C, D. Usually, you will mostly find Parts B and C on the Internet, as is also the case for the government website for IDEA. You can find a short summary of the statute on the website of the American Psychology Association, for example. [Abstract: Editors of Education Worldwide]
