APERA was founded in 2001 as a regional association for educational research in the Asia-Pacific region. Among its members, you will find national institutes and societies for educational research from East and South East Asia as well as Australia and New Zealand. APERA organises a bi-annual conferences, publishes the journal "Education Research for Policy and Practice", the "International Handbook of Educational Research in the Asia-Pacific Region" as well as the series "Education in the Asia-Pacific Region: Issues, Concerns and Prospects".
