"[The theme of the conference is:] Environments of Education and Learning – What about Values?
Education, teaching and learning take place in diverse environments: in local and global, arranged and everyday settings. These places of encounter are variable or permanent, and they can either unify or isolate.
The diversification of learning environments makes for plenty of reforming in education and teaching. At the same time as we are introducing new learning environments at an accelerated pace, we should also pay attention to values. Taking values into account contributes to a healthy learning environment. The values are connected with the learning environments, working methods and cultures alike.
The FERA Conference on Education is looking for answers to the following questions, among others: What do we actually mean by environments of education and learning, and what is the interaction built in them like? How are they studied and developed? What kind of values are manifested in them, and do they have any values as such?" [Abstract: Site editorÂ’s information]
