The academic initiative on sustainability research investigates the conditions and opportunities for a sustainably organized society. The initiative, therefore, brings together the natural sciences with the humanities including about 25 professors from the following disciplines: Chemistry, Computer Science, Communications, Management, Ecology, Philosophy, Planning, Politics, Psychology, Law, Engineering and Economics. The following institutes belong to the faculty: Institute of Ethics and Transdisciplinary Sustainability Research (IETSR) Institute of Sustainability Governance (INSUGO) Institute of Ecology (IE) Institute of Sustainable and Enviromental Chemistry (ISEC) Institute of Environmental and Sustainability Communication (INFU) Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM).
